It's normal, it happens to everybody. But it's still important to make healthy dinners at home because it is not only better for us, but it's cheaper too.
Macaroni and Cheese is a comfort food, but to some one on a low salt diet it is off limits. On the other hand, is it? The macaroni itself is not bad, and it's better if you skip adding the salt to the water when you boil it.
At this point if you can let the meat rest at room temperature for an hour before cooking or so I'd recommend it, but that's probably me being too cheffy. Rest or not, throw it in the crock pot. Add some chopped veggies. Carrots, onions, celery, potatoes. Any combination that you like. I like the carrots so my ratio of carrots is a little higher. I don't add anything too creative here, no sense messing with tradition.
Interestingly, I did not have Bigos while I was in Poland, I had it at home. The stew reminds me of traditional slow cooker smoked beef goulash, which contains meat, potatoes, tomatoes, and caraway seeds.
Also they provide some very high calorie options which traditional Beef Goulash if you're involved in emergency relief or another high-intensity job is exactly what your body is going to need in order to keep going.
